How we work

Editorial Standards

The rules every MindFuel article follows: where claims come from, who reviews them, how updates happen, and how advertising is kept separate from editorial decisions.

Where our information comes from

Health claims in MindFuel articles are grounded in guidance from public health bodies — the CDC, NIH institutes, the National Academies, the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, MyPlate, and the WHO — and in peer-reviewed research.

When an article leans on a specific study, we cite it inline and link to it, naming the journal and year, so readers can evaluate the evidence themselves. We prefer meta-analyses and large cohort studies over single small trials, and we say so when the evidence is mixed or weak rather than papering over uncertainty.

How articles are written

Every article starts from a practical reader question and is drafted, edited, and fact-checked by our editor before publication. We use modern writing and research tools, including AI assistance, during drafting — but every claim, citation, and recommendation is human-reviewed against its source before anything goes live, and the editor is accountable for the final text.

We deliberately avoid topics that require individualized clinical judgment: dosing, diagnosis, treatment comparisons, and supplement protocols. Where a topic touches that line, the article says plainly that a clinician is the right next step.

Updates and corrections

Articles display both a published date and a last-updated date. We review popular articles periodically and update them when public health guidance changes.

If we get something wrong, we fix the article and note the correction. Found an error? Email hello@mindfuel.site with the article link — corrections are prioritized over all other mail.

Advertising and independence

MindFuel may display advertising (such as Google AdSense) to fund the site. Advertisers have no influence over what we cover or what we conclude. We do not publish sponsored posts dressed up as editorial content, and we do not accept payment for coverage or rankings.

The site currently contains no affiliate links. If that ever changes, affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly on the pages where they appear.

What this site is not

MindFuel Wellness is a general-information publication, not a medical service. Nothing here is a substitute for personalized advice from a qualified clinician, and no article creates a provider–patient relationship.

Our full medical disclaimer, privacy policy, and terms of use apply to every page on this site.
